Licensing

1. The company site

You may view this site and link to its pages. That is the licence for the site.

You may quote a short passage for criticism, reporting, or discussion, with a link to the page and credit to Ganvya. Any other copying of the text, layout, or mark needs our written permission.

This licence does not let you copy the site, mirror it, or use its pages as the basis of another product or company site.

2. Names and marks

Ganvya, eTools, and the Ganvya mark are names and marks of Ganvya. Use of the sites does not give you those names.

You may use the names to refer to the company and the product, in ordinary language, without implying that we made, sponsor, or endorse your work. You may not use them in your product name, your logo, or a domain that suggests you are Ganvya or eTools.

A client name belongs to that client. This page does not license it.

3. eTools

eTools at etools.ganvya.com is in beta and free to use. The licence covers personal use and commercial work you do for yourself or for a client. You do not need an account. Free access is not a promise that every tool stays free, or that the service stays unchanged.

You may use the results you create. Those files are yours. You are responsible for checking a result before you rely on it.

This licence covers the hosted service. It does not transfer the software, the site, or the names. You may not:

• sell, rent, or sublicense access to eTools
• present eTools, or a copy of it, as your own product or as a product of someone other than Ganvya
• remove the Ganvya or eTools name from the service
• operate a competing hosted copy of the service

eTools is published as open source software and runs in the browser. Libraries it includes stay under their own licences. If a copy of the source is published with a licence file, that file is the licence for the source. It does not replace this section for the service at etools.ganvya.com, and it does not license the Ganvya or eTools names.

Engineering and construction calculators are estimates, not a design, a code check, or a quotation. The limits are in the terms.

4. Marketplace

Each marketplace listing states its status, including beta, a free trial, free, or paid, and links to the product.

A free product is licensed as its page states. Where the page does not set a different licence, section 3 applies if the product is eTools, and section 1 applies to the listing text.

A paid product is licensed only under the terms agreed before payment. Nothing on this page grants a licence to paid software. At 27 October 2026, no paid product is listed.

5. Client work

Work we do for a client is licensed under the agreement for that project. These pages are not that agreement, and they do not place client work under the eTools licence.

A website built for a client stays on that client's domain, on the terms of that site.

6. No warranty

The licences on this page do not include a warranty. The sites and tools are provided as they are. Liability is limited as set out in the terms. Rights that cannot be excluded under the law of Sri Lanka remain in force.
